Sydney Cricket Ground

It’s official: the family plus 5 of my relatives are going to be watching the 2nd ODI Final between (hopefully) Australia and South Africa or Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday February 12th, 2006.

My good mate and cousin Ben bought the tickets last night to confirm. The 9 of us shall we watching the action from the Bill O’Reilly stand, it turns out the tickets were already almost sold out so Concourse seats were unavailable (whatever that means).

It will be the family’s first real International game, they have been to plenty of my club grade cricket games, but this will be huge. And it will be my first match at the SCG, I’ve only ever watched games at the GABBA, Brisbane’s cricketing venue.

I am excited.

Actually the game is gonna be between Australia and my team….ACB allowed us…they decided since the rest of the world team could not beat them…they needed bigger challenges. Guess what Micheal Clarke, Brett lee and Mzcgrath are already praying and Ricky Ponting is hiding in his house getting panic attacks.

Oh no… well I hope we bat first. The USA could only put up 60 odd runs, I’d expect you guys will challenge the great 35 put up by Zimbabwe recently. I want to enjoy at least a few hours of cricket, so if you win the toss, PLEASE bowl first…
