Site redesign

Site redesign

Well you may notice some changes with my site, I decided I needed to add a couple of things to spice it up. Actually I’ve been meaning to do some changes for some time, I’ve only just this past weekend got around to doing it with some spare time. I was sick, my wife went skiing on Saturday and I agreed to look after the kids. While they were sleeping or watching movies I started some redesign work.

Mainly I’ve worked on the following additions and changes:

  • Renamed the site from Mikes Domain to The Family
  • Added a nice graphic at the top of each page
  • Added a dynamic recent news/photos bar to the right column of the site
  • Removed recent photos from the bottom middle section of the homepage

And I still plan to do the following:

  • Finish the Australia page
  • Build a better downloads page
  • Build some tool to auto calculate family and friends ages in their profiles (mysql/php)
  • Update the photos on Nevan and Liam’s profiles to something more recent

And if you have any cool ideas for our site, please let me know. You can get our contact details on the “contact us” page.
