Google Maps Street View
August 7th, 2008

Has finally made it to my neck of the woods. I’ve played with it before; it was released in the USA in 2007 for only a handful of major cities. It was fun to “drive” around places I had never been before but I have to say it’s even more fun to “drive” around places I have been. I’ve already taken a peek at past houses I’ve lived in, schools and even the McDonalds I worked at as a teenager.

And I am looking now at the house I live in. When I spin around, the boy across the street is mowing his lawn.

I’m not a munchkin…
September 8th, 2007

…Julia and Claudia are. Julia maintained her amazing ability to win games and Claudia joined in by helping Julia to win which ensured she also won. At least that’s what I think happened. You see, we were playing the very catchy card game Munchkin. Markus had been telling us for a while now that he knew a card game that was very fun that would be great to play as a group. It even had expansion packs so he took it upon himself to order the game from eBay and get us hooked up. The best way to describe Munchkin is to use the game creators own words.

The animal game
August 18th, 2007

I am describing a game which I don’t know the name of, where you assume an animal to the beat of clapping, do the animal expression and then follow it up with another animal that happens to be someone else’s animal in the group. They have to pick up on the fact you did their animal, do theirs, and then do someone else’s animal to the beat and this goes round over and over until someone screws up. That’s my excuse for… THIS.

Claudia seems to have found it funny. :) More photos | Claudia’s Blog

Are you going poop or pee?
August 14th, 2007

I have a few updates to come over the next few days as frankly I haven’t been in the mood to write. Having writers block or writers I-can’t-be-stuffed doesn’t end my personal obligation to update friends or family; nor does it end the adventures we have daily. I go through phases, or stages, and one recently has been trying to put together one of the more kick-arse mySpace layouts out there.

I’m working from the couch because I wasn’t in the mood to work from my smallish and dark office today.

Funny moment of the day
July 23rd, 2007

Funny is when Visual Studio crashes and upon detecting that something went wrong asks me if I want to launch Visual Studio to debug the problem I just had…

For those of you not in the know its Microsoft’s flagship software development product for computer programmers. It centers on an integrated development environment which lets programmers create standalone applications, web sites, web applications, and web services that run on any platforms supported by Microsoft’s .NET Framework (for all versions after 6). Well so says Wikipedia.
