I’ve been blogging slash writing slash journaling since day 1 of my internet life. That was somewhere in the middle of 1997. Over the years I have developed skills programming websites which have led me on numerous personal site iterations. Nowadays I just don’t have that kind of time, or energy, so you get to dip into my thoughts via a blogging platform known as WordPress. Let someone else do the work.

I came into the world on February 5th 1979 in Melbourne, Australia. Spent my toddler years in Geelong and Sydney, moved on to Townsville, on to Brisbane, and back to Townsville. I was successful at school but my adventurous ways saw me move to California in 1998. We moved to Colorado in 2002 when I received a job offer as a SQL Server Administrator/Analyst for a Chocolate Factory. Currently I am living near Sydney, Australia with my wife Jenifer (28) and three sons, Nevan (8), Liam (6) and Hayden (0). I work as a Business Development Manager in the Sydney area.

I am a very passionate cricket player and fan. I played cricket in a league where my home team was a 5 hour drive away when I lived in Colorado. Let’s not talk about the away game schedule.Since re-locating to Australia I have settled into playing First Grade cricket in the city I live in, a much more competitive league than what I had played in the USA. Other passions include Rugby League and Website Design.

Why the 250?

In 1997 my best mate Robert Hayes (Rob250) showed me this thing called the internet. The first item in my Internet life was Yahoo! Chat. I loved the look of this chatting thing so I attempted to create an account. I remember trying all sorts of names but they were all taken. I settled on Mike250 as my mate was Rob250. Why was he Rob250? He owned a 250cc motorbike.
